A Solution for Using Ajax in WordPress Admin
How to correctly use Ajax in the WordPress Administration area has been a problem that I’ve never found a complete solution for online. I’ve searched all over Google and the WordPress documentation, but there seems to be very little content on this topic. Since no one else wants to commit their time to creating and writing some example code for the use of ajax in WordPress, I decided to write my own plugin and share it with all of you.

Using TimThumb with WordPress Featured Image
A common problem I’ve run into while making templates is using TimThumb.php with the Featured Image to resize on the fly. Google seems to lead to very few solutions for some reason so I wanted to share my way of solving this problem.

Fixing the Cufon Sub-menu Whitespace Error
I just came across this annoying error when using Cufon in Wordpress with the wp_nav_menu function that adds an extra line-break with submenus. This causes Cufon to wrap canvas tags around the character and add extra spacing where it’s not needed. So here’s a quick little fix with wp_nav_menu to strip out all tabs and newline characters.

Easy WordPress Installation Script using XAMPP/Cygwin
Here’s a script I wrote for myself to quickly create new wordpress installs using a XAMPP installation. This requires Cygwin to run and make sure to download the package for clear screen keyword as well. Everything will work if you have a default XAMPP installation, otherwise you’ll have to edit the directories throughout the script to ensure that everything is installed in the correct place.
